Apple & Seed Cake
A healthier recipe for a delicious cake, ideal for baking with children
Pre-heat the oven to 160ºc fan / gas mark 4.
Butter a dish approx 15x20cm in size.
Rub the butter and flour together to a 'breadcrumb' look.
Stir in the sugar and the salt.
Peel, core and chop the apples into medium chunks and stir into the bowl with the seed mix.
Beat the egg with the milk and pour into the bowl.
Stir to a stiff consistency. As the apples cook they will add moisture to the cake.
Bake for approx. 1 hour.
Once cool, serve alone or with ice cream or custard.
